Spout connector
Is there any benefit to leaving the ford spout connector in the loop when wiring a new harness?

Spout or spark output is generally used on Ford TFI ignition systems. EDIS's uses the equivalent SAW or Spark Angle Word. Are you confusing yourself or did you read it somewhere on the internet????[/url]

no internet involved. (Maybe some confusion though)
I just bought a used EDIS6 box from this site and the plug/wiring stub on it has (what I describe as) a spout connector in the wire from the 3 rd pin. Red (SAW) wire, black two prong plug in series, gray plug that seems to just make continuity in the 3 rd red SAW wire...
was just wondering if it had a purpose in this set up. Or do I just eliminate it.
