Trying to source RX7 VR Sensor

Post by Funky Diver »

Hi all,

I'm trying to source an RX7 sensor in the UK, if anyone's done this already and has some handy hints, to help me out it'd be appreciated.
Tried ebay and a couple of Mazda specialists, but no joy. Main dealer was astonomical on price, which I thought a bit odd, but then they're a redundant part by all accounts and need ordering from Japan, so I suppose it's all a bit academic.

Cheers,
Rich

Let us know if you continue to have trouble getting them; might be something we can stock!

AWESOME Brent,

Many thanks for that, $61 for a new part (wholesaler closeout) and $25 shipping is very reasonable

Assuming I have the right part... MAZDA RX-7 1.3L 1308cc R2 MFI : Ignition : Distributor Ignition Pickup

If someone could confirm I'll be doing the ordering button pressing :D

cheers,

Rich

Many thanks for that link.

Rock were AWESOME, truly AWESOME.

RX crank sensor arrived today... in the UK!! Now that was quick! In reality they were quicker than a lot of UK "stores" in getting the gear to me!

Thank you! :D :D :D

I can also confirm that that is the correct one. Same one I used.

Make sure you don't get any vibration and "pulls" directly on the wires in the sensor ! I did on my, and wires came out at the socket of the sensor. I've now secured them properly to my converted dizzy so that there is no direct pull at the sensor. (Should have forseen this without trial and error...) ;-)
