unable to connect to controller

cant get to recieve or talk to the box.. have changed the com port to the corrrect one, but when trying to connect get an error message saying..
read buffer length not correct.
does this make any sence or do i need to copy the error message for help..

I am having the same issue, I get an error message at the bottom saying that it can't connect to the controller, i have checked al the comm ports and it won't connect, i have tried re installing the software but has made no difference.

Are you using USB/Serial adaptor?

I tried using a cheap USB/Serial adaptor and had similar problems. Borrowed a Belkin, removed/added everything again and eventually got it to work after lots of struggling and disabling internal modem etc etc.

If you can borrow laptop with "real" COM port then suggest trying this first to get yourself up-and-running.

Also there are some diags on this site explaining how to connect via windows terminal. This only gives garbled output but at least prooves the physical connection.

...its a simpler mechanism to communicate with the unit than the configurator - but you must use real COM ports
