No Spark and outrageous rpm readings

Post by viatron »

Ok so got everything hooked up and can see the tps readings in the runtime display. The rpm reading however just shoots to 19k or more on cranking and then refuses to come down to 0 when i stop cranking, have adjusted the vr sensor gap as tight as i can,

Any ideas?

The only other thing is that my vr sensor is very slightly off in relatyion to the wheel, ie the sensor is a couple of degrees off 90 in relation to the teeth?

RPM instability

Post by ckenyon »

See my comment re wire guage forum topic. I had huge RPM exscursions with the PIP/saw and VR shields connected to a ground. As soon as I disconnected the ground and had the shields only connected to the edis wire, evrything was good.
