I get some strange numbers in the RPM field in runtime monitor: 2147483647, now, to be sure I lifted all pins from the KX8 except pin 1,2 (power) 10 (clock) 11,12 (data rx,tx), dowloaded latest .s19 and tried with mjljt_1.0.0.
Tried also to power the board with a 9V batery, no difference, that funky number is still there....

that's actually normal, it's
that's actually normal, it's a side effect of the tuning software. basically it's saying the timer rolled over inside the MJLJ during RPM calculations.. in other words, the RPM was "too slow" to measure.
