I am looking for a way to mimic how a modern fuel injected car manages its fuel pump - usually by running the pump for a few seconds when they key is switched on, then using a tach signal (as an indicator the motor is running) to start the fuel pump up again.
Can anyone think of a way Megajolt could be used in this fashion? As many (most?) of us are using MJ in combination with a carb'd motor (or we'd probably be using Megasquirt!), so it seems like this would be a great thing be able to implement with the only computer in the car.
I have such config on my car, prior installing Megajolt. I am using a fuel pump relay from DAEWOO DAMAS (20Euro) , s-h BOSCH in-line fuel pump (15Euro) , MALPASSI rising-rate turbo carb fuel pressure regulator (50Euro), one-way in-line fuel valve(8E) , inertia switch from RENAULT-DACIA (10Euro) , in-line CHAMPION fuel filter (3 Euro) (this spring- add WEBER 32/36 DGAV - free, gift from a friend) and works great with MJ.
The DAEWOO relay have 4 pins: Ignition-key +12v ; Ground ; +12v to pump and Signal picked from diode tach adaptor. It starts pump for 2-3-4 seconds when ignition on , then stops and starts again during cranking and engine running. It stops when ignition signals not detected.
I have paralel fuel-pump feed via DAEWOO NEXIA/CIELO oil-pressure switch (10Euro) wich cut energy when oil pressure is low (engine off or defective).
That sounds about perfect! Any chance you have the Bosch part number? We didn't get many Daewoo cars here, but I'm betting it showed up on some other car.
