Rev Counter works only in Limp home Mode

Post by Johnw »

I'm after some help please. My megajolt is all fitted and working. Escort Mk2 running a 2.0 Zetec latest version of Megajolt. My Tacho output is connected to pin 11 on the EDIS module and works when the megajolt is not connected. As soon as I connect the megajolt (which is working correctly as I can see live data on the PC) the rev counter stops working. Any thoughts?

We're not sure what's happening with pin 11 on your module.

You might want to try instead connecting it to pin 2 of the EDIS module - the IDM signal.

You can also try interfacing to the TACH_OUT of the Megajolt, or wire up the tachometer adapter circuit.

More information documented here:

Thanks Brent

I tried pin 2 on the EDIS and no joy
I also tried another EDIS module with no change
However it worked fine when i connected the rev counter to the Tacho out of the megajolt. I didn't need to add the tacho adapter circuit.

Thanks for your help
