I got my racecapture today and put it in my car to try it out. The files that it recorded are text files and race analyzer doesn't seem to accept that type of file. What do I need to do to be able to view a log?

Hi,
Yes, you can import the datalog into RaceAnalyzer and use the software to playback and visualize the data. We're working on enhancing the instructions on the analysis part and we're working to get an updated version of RaceAnalyzer out as well. Load the software and play around with it; and hang tight for a short while for more docs!

Quick steps are:
* Open Race Analyzer
* File => Import Datalog
* Create new Race Event
* Import Datalog: Click '...' button next to file location
* Select the datalog from the SD card
* Click Next
* Enter a name for the datalog
* Click Next
* Select the sensors you want to import (all is fine if you're testing/experimenting)
* Click Next
* Click Import
* Click Finish
You'll see the datalog name with a '+' next to it. Click on it to expand and see all the sensors. If you right-click on a sensor and click on 'New xxx', it will create a chart/graph/etc for that sensor. You can shift-click on latitude and longitude together and right click => New GPS view to get a map.
Use the play/pause buttons to start/stop playback.
Poke around and let us know how things worked out for you! Hope that helps!

The problem that I am having is when I get to selecting the file from the SD card. Raceanalyzer only lets me choose .radb files and my log is a text file.rdoherty wrote:Quick steps are:

Hmm, if it only accepts radb files, it sounds like you are trying to open up a race event, not import a datalog.
I created a screencast of what to do here:
