v2 questions

Hi. i have 2 v2 boards. i was wondering what software i could download for them, if it could be the v3 software? i downloaded one, mjtuner .1.1.1001 but i dont know if that is the right one.

and also, the guy that had it before me soldered the processor to the board, and not the part that you can plug the processor to, did the heat hurt it ya think? thanks

I don't imagine your freind did the processor any good but it is possible he didn't hurt it. only one way to find out.

Socket are just a source of unreliability, especially on anything that gets shaken around. I would recommend soldering processors direct to the board.

I recommend you use the original java tuner by Brent, just follow the link Todd gave you. However, if you have windows 95 or 98 and that don't work, just wait for a new release of mjtuner, it will be put up anytime between now and Monday 30th.
