Hi,
just starting to play with the Configuration Tool.
I found a problem with the Tuning Perspective (F4).
When I load a map and switch to Tuning Perspective (F4), I get a black screen with a bouncing red/yellow ball...
(see attachment).
When I click and drag in the view, the map becomes visible. Somehow it looks like part of the 3D map is clipped away by darkness....
Any suggestions on that one?
Runninng latest Configurator 4.0.2
Windows 7
Parallels 7 on MacBook Pro Mountain Lion
Thanks
Klaus

Hi,
A couple of things to try.
1) run windows in safe mode. this is simply a test using a generic video driver to verify the software is working correctly.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... -safe-mode
2) providing the 3D map looks correct in safe mode, it's highly likely you will need to update your video drivers to the latest version.
Let us know what you find out!

Dear Brent,
so I tried and started in Safe Mode. The tuning view came up correctly.
That meant that I had a driver problem.
After fiddling around with Parallels Desktop 7 on my Mac, I gave in and updated to Parallels 8.
It still did not work, but after playing around with the settings of my Windows 7 virtual machine I finally got it to work.
What I needed to do is to disable DirectX by selecting
"3D Acceleration" to "Disabled".
in the VM settings of Parallels.
Strange to disable 3D to get the 3D to work but that did the trick....
I have tried this before in Parallels 7 but it would not work there.
Attached is a screenshot of the settings (it is in German, but I guess you can figure it out...).
Thanks for the support!
