Bug Report: Sensor Monitor crashes Race Analyzer

Post by sbarton »

Everytime I click on the Sensor Analyzer button it crashes Race Analyzer.
Basically a small window starts to pop up, then I get a Windows error window saying:
raceAnalyzer.exe
raceAnalyzer.exe has stopped working
Windows can check online for a solution

System: Win7 Home Premium SP1 64bit.
RA: V1.1.11
RCP: 1.1.10

Hi Scott,

We specifically fixed a crashing issue on version 1.1.11- can you double check you have the latest installed (uninstall all older versions, re-install latest)

Have you ever seen it working without crashing, with or without RaceCapture/pro attached? Can you otherwise read/write the RCP configuration data?

If anyone else sees this issue with 1.1.11 please post here, too.

I am also having crashing problems with the sensor monitor in race analyzer 1.1.11. The RCP is running 1.1.10.

System is Windows 7 pro, 64bit.

It seems to crash 85-90% of the time I click on the sensor monitor icon. The read/write configuration always seems to work properly.

If I reboot the laptop and reset the RCP, then open race analyzer first thing, I have a good chance of using the sensor monitor. If I've previously used the sensor monitor but closed it, it will usually crash when trying to reopen it.

I did use this laptop to update the device as well, for what it's worth. I have uninstalled and reinstalled race analyzer (including removing the directory in %programfiles%).

Let me know if I can help assist with resolving this crash bug.

Hi,

Thank you for the update. I'll see what I can do to reproduce it.

I'm on RA 1.11 and RCP 1.1.12 and sometimes still crashes but for the most part it works.

This usually works for me:
I have to have RCP up and running with key in On position, then connect laptop to RCP, then open RA, then read the current config, then open Sensor Analyzer without going to any other screen.

Once Sensor Analyzer is successfully up and running I can pretty much do anything including shut car off, read/write to RCP, etc.
