Ride Height Sensor

I posted the pin out on the FB post, but here is the actual diagram from the book. Looks like only pins 1,4, and 5 are used. Leads on 1 and 5 with the wiper arm on 4. Not sure the values.

My god. I think I just died and went to motorsports heaven. If that's accurate we have a very compelling suspension datalogging solution.

Any idea on the connector?

For record keeping the sensor is OEM part # 37140141444

Just verified a 0.1 to 4.9v voltage swing across 90 degrees of travel, using the diagram above. Looks like we have suspension travel sensor!

What was the resistance values and what did you use for the pull down?

No resistance needed. Ignore what's in the ECU box; that's just for your reference. The device produces a variable voltage output.

They're amazing! Our new intern will be installing 4 of them on a race car and documenting the installation. Actually kind of jealous, they're that cool!

We're spinning up possbily using these sensors on a sponsored nascar vehicle. Anyone know the connector for this sensor?

Update. The connector does not come pins and wires. To complete the installation you would need individual wire pigtails.

61130005199 for white wire
61130006665 for red with stripe

I imagine there may be other wire color combinations available.

Evidently you will need 3 wires for GND, 5v and signal.

While we didn't followup, these type of sensors typically work very well. It is the best, if not cheapest, option for determining ride height.
