R.F. Capacitor....Again

Post by rmaddock »

I assume that this bit which I took when I got my coil pack is the RF supression capacitor.

My question is, as it seems to only have one wire connected to it (and seems to have always been this way) does it ground through the mounting tab?

As I've got it, I might as well fit it.

Grounding...?

Post by flashrs1988 »

Yes, being bolted to the coil-mounting bracket provides the grounds for the cap
The small wire from the cap should go to the positive feed to the coil.

Cheers.

Steve.

Thank you.

Thanks for that Steve. It's as I thought, I just wanted to be sure.
