Won't Rev over 4750?

ok, i've been out mapping my golf and so far so good. it runs ALOT better but when i get to about 4750 revs it suddenly holds back, as if it had hit a limiter. i've tried increasing and decreasing the timing at 4700 revs on the ignition table but the same thing happens.

has anyone come across this before or know what it could be?

obvious question, but is the soft rev limit set higher, also pickup gap make sure its not too wide

There's a soft rev limit? i throught you had to wire one up?

or do's the rev limiter function work without any additional wiring?

on the newest firmware the rev limit retards the timing to 0 which acts like a soft limiter, it works well
