Well, I've just been out there and put all the EDIS bits together and turned the key.
Nothing.
Can anybody advise me on how to start fault finding please? I don't have access to any test equipment beyond a multi-meter.
I have a spare (also scrap) EDIS 4 and coil pack. Should I just start swapping things or are there any tests I can/should do first?
Note that the engine is in the car and runs perfectly well both before and after the EDIS test on the original dizzy....so it's not a fuel side problem.
I've been building a web page about this as I go so you can see what I've been doing if you care to look here.
Oh yes, no MJLJ as yet. I believe that it should run on limp-home without this.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks.
Robert.

Try reversing the connections to the VR sensor, if reversed it will not spark .Other than that swap the edis and then coilpack.
I'll try that, thanks. I'd

Hi Robert,
I see from you web site that you have mounted the VR sensor on a steel bracket, this may be the source of the problem, I think you need to magnetically isolate the vr sensor, could be wrong?
Cheers

Steve,
I've seen other installations on the net with steel brackets.
I'll bear what you say in mind though incase I don't get anywhere with other possibilities.
Cheers!
