Hi All,
I found this site via Robert Maddock and his installation on a 2.25L land rover engine . I have an 1982 land rover with a factory fitted V8 that I have been thinking about changing/upgrading the old points based dizzy.
This system looks ideal, especially since I discovered that a new dizzy is over £200 and there doesnt seem a lot of point to me upgrading a well worn dizzy to electronic ignition.
So............
Has anyone got this running on a 3.5L rover V8?
Cheers
Jon
Anyone used mjlj on a rover V8?

V8's
I've seen it on a Landie - and if I have it running on an old Flathead V8, shouldn't be a problem on a Rover V8! Just do a search of the forum, plenty of people doing it, for instance:-

Hello Jon
Hello Jon,
I'm glad to hear that all my evangelising has got somebody else interested. I don't imagine that a V8 will be any problem; you just need the EDIS8 and an extra coil pack. I haven't seen a V8 up close but I would guess that the crank pulley will be available for carrying a timing gear. Lot's of our U.S. side of the pond friends will have done V8s.
I found very few references to LandRovers of any flavour here but there are a few more references on the Mega Squirt forum. It's a similar thing to this but does fuel injection...I don't suppose Brent will mind my mentioning it. Try asking there too. I've heard from a chap who's done Megajolt on a series II that way but seen no mention here.
Keep us in touch with how you get on.
Good Luck!
Robert.

I will need to get it an MOT
I will need to get it an MOT first as I have been rebuilding it from a rolling chassis that I bought. Almost there though so this will be the next big project for it.
