Old Config file loaded onto firmware v.211.0

Post by wrandleman »

Flashing read me recommends saving and then reinstalling configuration.
This wipes the added CAN bus configuration fields.

Can I reflash to 2.11.0 again to get the new settings back?
Is there a way to avoid building the configuration from scratch again? The unit is not installed in the default orientation and has analog sensors so kind of a PITA.

What that alert means - before flashing new firmware, make sure you have the configuration saved to a file. Do this by reading the current configuration from the unit, then press 'Save' to save it to a file.

After flashing, you can restore your configuration from that saved file - every setting should be restored.

Let us know how it works out!

Your not getting my question.
I DID save and reinstall the config file. Now the added CAN mapping features provided by the firmware update are unavailable.
Bug?

Sorry I misunderstood.

What firmware version was it originally saved under?

In any case, please try this, if you haven't tried it yet:

1) flash 2.11.0 firmware
2) restore saved config file
3) write config to RCP
4) Now read back config from RCP

Does the CAN mapping feature show up again?
