Would it work with a alu trigger wheel(non magnetic) or is the steel(magnetic) needed to produce the signal
?
I have considered to CNC machine a pulley with trigger wheel in one unit , made from aluminium.
If it works as a inductive sensor it would work i asume , but if it depends on the steel wheel and the coil inside the VR sensor to produce the signal ... i would not waste the time
Triggerwheel made out of aluminium?

The teeth have to be
The teeth have to be magnetic. I would imagine aluminum coated in something will do, or steel screws inside those teeth. I bet he has a CNC machine!!!!!!!!
