RaceCapture MK2 WIFI/Bluetooth

Post by mbulls »

We own a ChampCar Team and running a 1987 BMW E30. Currently using RaceCapture/Pro MK2 with Bluetooth module. We have an Android tablet connected over Bluetooth that we use as the Dash. This is working great. I would like to know if the WiFi module can also be added and have an additional smaller Android or IOS tablet connected to use the Lap/Timing Dash Display at the same time.

Hi,

Yes, you can add up to two additional devices connected via WiFi, as well as a forth device connected via USB-OTG (or a Raspberry Pi dash).

The downside with USB-OTG is that the device won't be charged via the USB port. To get around this you could:

* Use an android device that has wireless charging (and use a wireless charging cradle)
* Use an Android Double-DIN receiver and connect via it's USB port.

Hope this helps!
