I am looking for the connector that connects to the VR sensor, (I was able to buy a new VR sensor..Standard part # PC_19). I have been unable to find one at the usual parts places and the weather here is not condusive to poking around in junk yards at the moment. Does anyone know where I could get a new one or does someone have one from a used car.
Cheers,
Simon

Marty,
I've seen quite a few 6 pack coils on ebay recently, some starting around $10. I just picked up a quad coil for $5.99 plus shipping. Good luck!

crank sensor connector
Hi, I'm in the market for a new sensor connector as well.. my connector was damaged when my crank sensor wheel broke off during a race this weekend.
The connector for the crank sensor doesn't look like any fuel injector connector I've seen. Where can you buy these?
Thanks,
Brent

Getting connected
I just talked to the Ford rep here, and he says that Ford doesn't sell the VR sensor pigtail separately. You can purchase the plastic portion of the pigtail with no metal pins, which are sold separately, thus requiring assembling the pigtail yourself. The plastic connector shell is part number:
F5RZ14489D
The coil connector is also not sold as a service part.
The VR sensor is available at most after-market parts stores. The Standard Ignition part is PC-19 for the 92-96 Escort 1.9
The module pigtail is available from Standard, part number S-744
Most Pull It parts yards sell a pigtail for 1 to 3 dollars. All I have visited have many, many EDIS Escorts.

Source for VR Sensor Connector Pins
Paratime, can you tell me where to get the pins that fit in the Ford F5RZ14489D VR Sensor plastic connector housing ? The part number would be a great help.
On pins and needles
I didn't get the part number for the pins, he just said they were sold seperately. The last time I bought pins, I took the part in with me when I picked up the connector shell. They had a big box of dozens of pin types, and the parts guy matched them up.
VR Sensor Connector / Pigtail
Paratime, I found a source for VR Sensor connectors complete with pins and about 8 inches of wire (what you would call a "pigtail"). It is made by Standard Motor Products and the part # is: S-812. It is available through Kragen, Schucks, etc. for $21.99.

Various EDIS components
Boost Engineering (see link in my signature) has used connectors with pigtails for coils, VR sensors, and Modules for $8 each, along with all other EDIS parts. Check the website out.
