Software not reading RPM

Hi all, Just installed my MJ ver 3 in parallel with the existing ignition system for testing. I have not connected the coil pack.
I'm running the new version 3 windows software as per the download site. It runs ok and retreives the configuration from the MJ on startup no problem. When I run the car the TPS and rev counter gauges run as you would expect and agree with my tacho. The problem I have is that the on the configuaration view the RPM will not exceed 1500, even though the dial gause on the softwate will show much higher figures.
Can anyone tell what i'm doing wrong -or is it a software bug.
[Checked the bin values -they go up to 5000rpm so should be ok]

Erm ... just noticed rev limit set at 2000rpm, that might have been the problem.
