For all the help, support in tips for installing the MJLJ, the software updates and all the work everyone has put into it over the years - it hasn't missed a beat while we've been using it. Unfortunately it's now going on a shelf as the VW engine has been ditched in a slightly alcoholic plan which involved a V6 being delivered the day after, cue lots of grinding.
You should be proud of a system that can stand hours of this with no trouble:

Agreed
I second that, now i have sorted all the small setting up issues the system is working very well. Most impressed with the soft limiter, its so easy on the engine and works excellent for my application.
One of the best modifications i have on my car, many thanks to those responsible for this superb ignition controller.

Why not find yourself an EDIS6 unit and keep using it?

May I ask why you going that route?
A few words to persuade you against this move: tuning software of Emerald and DTA is horrible, and isnt updated that often. Hardware of those controllers is not updated often too, same goes for firmware. And they are EXPENSIVE!
If you need fuel and ignition in the same unit I suggest you take a look at Megasquirt II. Wide band O2, knock sensing, etc, etc.. Several tuning software titles, notably the Megatunix.
In any case, you can run Megajolt side by side with any of the above. I have Megasquirt II and it is capable of running ignition too, but I still use Megajolt simply because it gives me more flexibility, and added insurance when it comes to ignition.
I suggest that you stick around with us. Brent has knock sensing on his mind, I have rapid acceleration and traction control on mine. Both features great for what you do, and can make you more competitive. I believe the controllers you mentioned do not offer this? Nor have plans for this? Nor are being developed at the pace Megajolt is?
I see no reason to get those instead of something DIY and open source.

I am already running Megasquirt
On my own car - fuel and ignition, WBO2, etc, however they may well be a few customer engines after this one so commercially available systems need to be used that the mappers are familiar with. Already have one on Haldex, but had some ignition controller problems with it, so going with something else.
Traction control is worthless for us anyway

We have 2 weeks to get the engine in, running and mapped, but I'll be watching this anyway!
