Help needed!

I have idetified and repaired a fault on my board..... I now have 5v instead of the 10 i had!.
I have a new KX8 chip from R.S. but i am totaly confused to my next step to load firmware software ( i must be hard of thinking) can anyone advise me on my next step as i have a sprint next weekend and would love to have it running by then. i am in cheshire and dont mind comming over to some kind soul who may be able to assist me.
