HELP!! edis plug

I'm just about to install my unit, but hav discovered a possible problem.
my sens wires match wires4&5 on the edis plug (ign gnd & vrs- acording to the edis info)and the Nr6 wire is conected to the shield of 4&5.(vrs+ in edis info)
I'v checked several cars and they are all the same, is there a differens country wise?
it seems logic to me that since the 4&5 wires are shilded, that they are the sens wires, but am at this point somwhat confused.
