Installed no probs on ford crossflow (x-flow)
As it says, installed no problems.
Made up a bracket to hold the VR sensor, got a toothed wheel on the front of the pulley, made up my own loom no problems.
Using a TPS on the twin weber 40 dcoes - works a treat.
Need to wire up a shift light now, and get my rev counter working. I have tried to use pin 11 off the EDIS, no joy - have also tried the tach out line on the MJ with no joy - next to try the diode circuit.
Now to start tuning the map!
Cheers

xflow install
Hi Bryan
I will try to get some pics sorted and uploaded to a site somewhere. The VR bracket was quite straight forward really, as you will see.
I got the TPS from emerald (www.emeraldm3d.com) and it included the carb spindle adaptor, but you can get the TPS from RS Components for about 16 quid too if you'd prefer.

TPS
I too am installing the MJLJ on a Xflow, I sourced a TPS from a Zetec Mondeo in the scrapyard, I think it cost £1 (GBP).
I have also been working on a map, although not yet tested, I would be happy to swap this with other Xflow tuners.
My Xflow spec is 1660cc, Lightened and Balanced, Race Head, Piper 285 cam, Twin 40's. One of the reasons I am installing the MJLJ is to try an eliminate some pinking at certain RPM's.
How did you attach the Trigger Wheel to the Pulley, I sourced a wheel from a Sierra, and need to weld it to my Pulley, but need to get a steel pulley first, does anyone have one spare?

I'm assuming you chaps are running twin carbs? If so then a TPS from a Mondeo will do the trick as will cost a couple of quid. It's just a case of fabricating a bracket and spindle like this:
http://www.cate1.co.uk/megajolt/installation.php
(see bottom of the page)
The Mondeo one is virtually identical to the Webcon one except for the wiring with is opposite.
I've got a number of maps on my site for Pintos, Zetecs and a Vauxhall one but if you need someone to host Xflow maps, I'd be more than happy.

Maps
Hi Matt
Yep, using twin carbs..
I've got a 150hp xflow map (based on a kent 244 cammed engine with forged pistons) and that will be my starting point to get it right for my 135hp engine (kent 234 cam with hepolite pistons 10.5:1 CR)
I'm more than happy to share maps too - Matt if your happy to host, perhaps we can start a bit of an archive! If you don't mind, I'll post your website details on the Westfield forum as a great source for anyone considering the upgrade...

Trouble uploading
Hi Brent,
I've tried a couple of times to upload the map I'm currently using along with a link to all the others but keep getting an error:
"You exceeded the maximum submission rate. Please wait a few minutes and try again."
any ideas?
cheers

Happy to host any map you might have. I'm trying to build up an archive (as you can probably tell!).
I really think Megajolt's the perfect solution for us kit-car builders as it's so much cheaper than any of the "off the shelf" ones you can buy and you can build it yourself. Please feel free to spread the word!
cheers

Hi Matt
I was wondering if you'd sorted out some crossflow maps to go with yor collection. Over this next week or so i hope to finish my install on a 1640cc crossflow in a mk2 escort. The engine is rally spec and if you had any maps, i would be grateful if you could email me them.

Thanks

1st proper run out
Hi All
A quick update for you all - I have just had a quick run out in the car (30 mins or so) and it was really fabulous. I think my tinkering with the carb jetting has helped too, but there is now very little (if any) spitting / banging on the overrun and the whole car now appears more responsive across the whole rev range.
I am sure a bit more fine tuning on the map will help even more, but I am really pleased with the progress so far.
Thanks all
