New Problem

Post by AE86 MJLJ user »

Ok, so i fixed the problem i had with connecting to the MJLJ. I can now input my map (yay). turned out i didnt have the serial support software in the right locations. Anyhow, I have a new problem to attend to. Tried to start the car the other day with the megasquirt and megajolt both programmed, but no fire. Checked to see if the spark plugs were sparking and they are not. I'm pretty sure the wiring is done correctly so what could be wrong?

Great that you got past that one hurdle.

The good thing is that the EDIS module can run the engine independently of the MJLJ. Check to make sure you have power, a good ground connection, correct wires to the coil, and make sure the VR sensor is connected with the right polarity.

If the connections are OK I'll suggest to check the gap between the thooted wheel and the sensor.
