Got the box in the post last week cheers. Set the thing up on my pc with a car battery.Conected the com port lead but got no comunication to the box.It just keeps saying "not able to white flash to mjlj" it's starting to do my head in abit. I'm not that up on computers but i think i'v downloaded everthing. PLEASE HELP ME

Go to control panel, click on

Go to control panel, click on System. Click hardware tab, click device manager button. Click on ports, and see which COMM ports you have. Usually people would have COMM port 1, and COMM port 2.

Connect the box, connect serial cable. Open software. Click on Tools >> Options. Configure proper serial port number. Try them all. After configuring, close application and start it again and then click GetConfig.

Thankx for the instructions.Have tried them but still no joy.It's realy starting to do my hed in now!!! Starting to loose fath in the hole thing a bit. Can the bre something else that is wrong apart from me being thick??

what version of windows do you run? do you know for sure the com port works? (try an old mouse in the port if you have one)someone made a complete intall package which was handy, it installed the java and mjlj software have you got that?

I is running windows xp.I have set up the values of the comport as shown on the troubleshooting page. Havn't seen anything as regards the complete package install. Were and what is that??

PS see that you hve set up a rev limiter using an after market one.I have omex rev limiter single coil.I did try it with the diode set up for the tacho but i didn't work.Would the set up you are talking about be ok to use and what was the first diode set up like??

look in the mjlj software bit i think, i had trouble with xp. If you add a 1/5watt resistor to the diode circuit as i described your limiter/shiftlight 'should' work
