Edis Problem

Post by kturp »

I was wondering if anyone can help me, I'm setting up megajolt on a race car with a ford zetec engine but I'm having trouble getting the edis to work, i've wired up as on brentp's web site but I cant get a spark, have not connected megajolt yet just in case I blow it, how can I check to see if i'm getting a signal from vr sensor or anyone know of anyone obvious mistakes i might have made, like the type of wire used on the vr sensor or coil wiring, any ideas please not matter how obvious it might be to you may not be obvious to me.

Ta very much

Just thought I'd let you know that I've sorted my little problem, wasnt edis at all was the VR sensor, the engine I used was from an auto Mondeo onto which I had bolted a flywheel and clutch, but what I did not realise or notice is that the VR sensor mounting bracket is different between auto and manual so sensor was too far away from flywheel, easy peasy only took me 2 weeks and a lot of hair pulling to sort it.
