Hi,
Was interested in using the megajolt to convert an BMW Isetta engine. Was wondering if the system can be made compatible with a 1-cylinder engine.
Andrew
Will this module work on a single cylinder engine?

Interesting question. I
Interesting question. I guess that if you took an EDIS 4 and only wired up one single ended coil then it should work.

What is in the EDIS
What is in the EDIS 4?
Couldn't the components be replicated to producea smaller board suitable for a single banger- more elegant solution.

The EDIS-4 is Ford's 4
The EDIS-4 is Ford's 4 cylinder wasted spark coil driver, and the Megajolt is specifically designed to work with it. It would be difficult to build a cut down version for less money than the cost of an EDIS-4, especially bearing in mind that you can get them from a breakers yard.
The EDIS is a superbly engineered piece of high volume electronics, and it would also be difficult to make anything as reliable and well proven.
