If a map has been created with figures for a TPS in the map bins, is it safe to use it on a system running with a map sensor. I take it the figres entered in the map bins for a map sensor are in kPa, so this leads me to beleive that maps written around a TPS will not be suitable. can anyone confirm this?
I have been told to try a TPS map and see how it goes, but I am NOT willing to do this without confirmation that the maps are interchangeable. All the maps I have available have TPS figures in the map bins...
TPS and MAP figures

Unless you have a map for an identical engine, you are going to have to start with a "nearest guess" map anyway. The WOT (Wide Open Throttle) figures should be identical for MAP and TPS maps, so I would be happy to go with it as a starting point. WOT is when timing matters most, so non-optimal part throttle timing probably wont do any harm.

I have a few Maps
the engine is a Ford Pinto 2 litre. I have various maps which all have figures ranging from 0 to 152 etc. in the map bins. I take it that WOT on a TPS is 0 and 152 would be fully closed throttle? Looking at the advance figures, I'm not so sure.
Can I simply change the TPS numbers... i.e. 0 to 152 to kPa figures, e.g. 100 for fully closed throttle ranging down to whatever I measure as the highest vacuum... say 30kPa for example?
I don't understand the TPS figures at the moment.
The map I was going to start with is this:

The map bins in bold are the figures that don't make much sense to me. What I want to do here is change these to appropriate kPa readings. Can you help?
Thanks in advance (pun intended).

no help but
have you change/swaped complete MJLJ units or converted you original one from TPS to MAP?
if you have swaped units have you got the TPS unit for sale?
