Folks... I am a UK newbie to all this dizzyless ignition malarky! I have today been to our local scrappy and got the following from a 1992 Ford Fiesta with an 1100cc crossflow engine.
Coil pack from rear of engine c/w leads
Magnetic pickup from bellhousing with complete cable length
Edis 4 unit from bulkhead with complete loom
My query is as follows... I expected the Edis 4 unit to have just that written on it but it has ESC cast into the plastic (see images)and also has a tube that comes from the unit and connected to the manifold! Will this unit work with the MJ unit?
Cheers!

Edis 4....

First question- is this
First question- is this really an EDIS module? What would it be doing with the MAP sensor?
If you have an extra one of these you should crack it open and take pictures of the guts. Would be interested in seeing pictures of the pressure sensor.
Thanks for the info!

Back to the scrap yard
Looks like you will need to return to the scrap yard, as what you have is not an EDIS 4 module - it's an ESC module. The EDIS 4 looks like this, and does indeed have EDIS 4 on it's label:

It appears that the ESC module doesn't have the PIP and SAW signals that interface with the Megajolt. I assume it has some sort of fixed 'map' built in (specific to the type of engine it was fitted to?). In addition to the vacuum connection, my diagram shows that it accepts inputs from engine temperature sensor and possibly also air temperature. This thread may be of interest.

Thanks BHWM! I thought that would be the case so thanks for confirming it! There was a sensor on the rear of the block reading eng temp and also what I assumed was an air temp reader for informing driver of ambient weather temp but now assume it was connected to this set up to read air temp. I will take an image of the coil pack, sensor etc so any help when posted will be gratefully received!
