Wiring schematic for Megajolt 3.0

Post by robert verhey »

Hi There,

I have now all the parts in house, and thinking about how to connect everything. I think I have the "Ford part" under control. What I'am missing is a schematic how to connect the Megajolt box via the square connector? There are about 20 outlets there, but where to connect 12 V, ground, PIP, SAW, and other connections?

Can someone help me?

http://picasso.org/mjlj/?q=node/786 should see you pretty much there for a 4 cylinder engine....

...a minor amendment to be made is that the PIP/SAW and VR pairs should be run inside screened cables with both screens connected to EDIS pin 7. The screens should not be earthed/connected to anything else..

Screened cable

QUOTE" a minor amendment to be made is that the PIP/SAW and VR pairs should be run inside screened cables with both screens connected to EDIS pin 7."

do each cable need seaperate screening or will they all be ok on one for the three?
And can this screening be bought or is it specialist cable?
Thanks

From an electronics or cable

From an electronics or cable supply company you should find some cabling with a good foil shield to do the job. It should be fairly easy to obtain.

If you have a conventional engine layout you will likely end up with a two-conductor shielded cable running from the edis module to the VR sensor; and another two-condutor shielded cable running from the edis module to the MJLJ unit.

Hope this helps,
