Looking at the above picture. You should swap the red 5V wire with the groud wire. So that the wire that you connect to the ground is now connected to megajolt, and the other wire will be connected to the ground.
Leave the other (middle) wire alone.

You can't damage the controller by swapping the wires.
It looks like your TPS is just "upside down" and the two ends of the potentiometer need swapping, so it's probably just a matter of swapping the two black wires.
To double check before you swap, use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the TPS with it disconnected - the resistance between the two ends will be constant, irrespective of rotation, and probably in the range of 5000 to 50000 ohms.

When I start up the configuration software, my tps reading is high about 200, then if I turn the tps is goes low to about 45, I have 3 wires coming out of the tps 2 black and a brown, any ideas on what I have done wrong. didn't want to go swapping wires round incase I damage my controller.
Any ideas would be really appreciated
Thanks
Rich
Could this be caused by having C14 being the wrong way round, this was the only item that the markings weren't clear, could this be the cause?
Thanks 4600cc that has done the job, cheers Rich
