Apologies, but I have to ask this..............
While, sitting in my car , and playing with my MJ softare as I reved the engine, I noticed that the TPS load allways stays on the first setting (i.e. first BIN)...OK, so this is normal (I assume), so I was was trying to work out how the MJ knows when to change to a different load bin, which I can't see it doing while just revving the engine (of course because car is not under load).....
Just wondering how it knows?....

Im running twin weber 40's, so the TPS is connected to the spindle (which is of connected to the butterfly)......the tps gauage changes on the the MJ software, but I can't see what actually tells the software to change load bin....if was simply the TPS position it would change load bin while just revving the car in neutral.....Hope this makes sense!...

Ok....the Tps range is 28 - 178 as measured from the tps gauge in the MJ config software
so, the bins are
0 41 56 72 87 102 117 132 148 163
What I see when I rev the engine (when car is not in gear and stationairy) is the red box in the software following the revs on the first row (occasionally slipping to the second row), but of course, the engine is not under load at this point............
Is this correct???...............

What do you observe when the engine is not running (but ignition is 'on') and you open / close the throttle?
You may want to consider upgrading to Firmware 3.1, which offers the ability to properly calibrate your TPS from 0 to 100%. You will need to re-adjust your load bins to spread across 0 - 100 % as well.
The 3.1 configurator software will also let you set the load gauge to show 0 - 100% throttle opening.

When the ignition is on and I floor the throttle, the TPS gauge in the MJ software moves but nothing else does....Should the load bins move also???.....

When you rev the engine, you are putting the engine under load (or more strictly a load request), and the TPS (which is obviously moving) is indicating the amount of load (request)

Sorry, the documentation was unclear. It's the "Firmware Programming Software" you want to download. I fixed the text.

Ok, to answer Brent first...My bin numbering does indeed go the same way , with the smallest number at the top of the screen. So, when I simply rev the engine, the red highlighted box follows the revs up the scale. but stays on the lowest numberd bin setting..in my case 0
Martin, Just to clarify, with the engine not running, when the throttle is off (closed), the TPS gauge reads 26, and when fully depressed, the the gauge reads 178.....So, it agrees with what you have said here:
Ignition on, engine not running - gauge should move but the TPS bin will stick at the lowest (top row) bin
However, When the engine is running (although not actually driving), it still reads from the first row of advance numbers...so this does not tie up with what you have said here:
Ignition on, engine running - gauge should move and bins should move
So, this now confuses me that MJ is seeing my TPS (as the gauge is moving), but not changing the load bins.......I wondered if the th gauge was reading the correct way and I had put the TPS on the wrong way round, but this does not seem to be the case.......
So, should the red highlght box always, take a diagonal line from the top left corner of the table to the bottom right?...in shich case why would we need so many numbers in the table.....

Ok, checked the above......Bouncing ball moves across the top of the graph but does not move down the chart, so again, it points to the load bins not changing......Also, I have now down loaded the 3.1 firmware, and used the 3.1.config software...at the moment, I must admit, the car does not appear to be running very smoothly since the software upgrade, but this coud be something else...........I have some screen shots Here....Hope they work!...

In this case, your screenshots only show you opening the throttle 11% according to the gauge, but you first load bin starts at 20. That's why it didn't jump to the next load bin.
Did you run through the TPS calibration routine (accessed through the 'Tools' Menu)
Also, the TPS support under 3.1 will require you to re-cast your load axis from 0 to 100% TPS. You can probably quickly change them to 10,20,30,40...etc. for testing purposes and then circle back to do some fine-tuning.
