ok just to be a pain in the arse i have another question...
will edis work fine with a crank sensor other than one that was designed for edis?
the reason for this is i'm buying a crank tdc sensor kit for a xflow from burtons (which comes with trigger wheel and all mounting accesories, and a 'weber' vr sensor and all the mounting bits for a xflow.)

Historically, it seems that the EDIS module really likes it's own sensor. However, that's not saying that other sensors won't work. If it's easy to try out, I'd give it a shot and report back! I suppose you could rig it up temporarily with a clamp so it works long enough to see if it generates a spark.

Question about the weber trigger wheel kit
Hi there from another crossflow user.
I was considering the weber kit as i know of several Caterham crossflows that have used this setup with megajolt, but i was wondering if the kit is designed to fit infront of or behind the standard crank pulley. I know people have fitted them to the back face of the 4" Burton steel pulley, but not sure if it is actually designed to be used this way, or if they have modified the bracket to fit. Any pointers on this would be very helpful as i have an aftermarket sump that reduces the clearance available behind the pulley, and i will have to diy a solution if it is not designed for front fitment.

Thanks for the swift reply. Sorry for the lack of clarity, I was talking about the trigger wheel. The weber sensor should be OK with ford components as it is the same sensor that is used on early Cosworth Sierras, though i dont know if this had EDIS. Does the kit include a longer crank pulley bolt?

yep mate includes absolutely everything you need!
as you can see it has trigger wheel, spacer for between trigger wheel and pulley, longer pulley bolt, pin to lock trigger hweel into place, crank sensor and mounting brackets
the only thing i can see that needs doin is drilling a hole in the pulley for the trigger wheel pin to lock it in place (at least i think this needs doing)
unfortunately its on a four week backorder, and as im in a hurry to get this all running i wont be purchasing this kit. would have been nice though!

Thanks for the pic. makes it all pretty clear. I have used these people for weber bits in the past http://www.sciperformance.co.uk/ website is a bit old and doesn't list all that they sell, but worth phoning them, were cheaper than Burton for the weber TPS that i am using.
