Ford Part Numbers for EDIS Connectors ?

Post by Pantera »

Does anyone happen to have the Ford part number(s) for the wiring harness (connector) that plugs into an EDIS-8 module ? Also, are the coil connector plugs available from Ford and, if so, what is the part number ?

I asked connectors from my local Ford dealer and salesman said that connectors are not sold separately. Connectors comes only with full wiring harness which was pretty dear. But you might have luck in asking coil connector from your local spare parts store or bosch retail dealer. Coil connector looks like ordinary bosch (wasted spark) coil connector.

EDIS CONNECTORS

I have found a source for new EDIS connectors. Standard Motor Products (New York) makes them. They can be purchased on-line from Rock Auto, Parts America, etc. The part number for the EDIS-8 module pigtail connector is S-744 and the part number for the coil connector is S-755.

EDIS CONNECTORS

It seems that Carquest also carries these connectors (they call them "pigtails") under their own Carquest brand name. They are made for Carquest by Standard Motor Products and even carry the S.M.P. part numbers. I contacted my local Carquest yesterday and discovered that they even had the EDIS-8 module connector in stock !
