L-jetronic problems

Post by Hiperformance71 »

Hello to All, i'm new here and sorry for my bad english, i'm from italy.

I have installed a MJLJ in a Fiat uno with a fire 1100cc engine converted to turbo with the standard FIAT uno turbo L-jetronic injection, this type of injection take the rpm signal and tach from the coil (single with distributor). Now when i have installed the MJLJ, it start immediatelly with a good idle, when i try to accellerate, the engine esitates like a rev limiter set to 3000rpm. The rev-limiter in the MJLJ is set to 8000 rpm. The car goes without this problem when it is alimented with GAS (LPG or GPL here). In prevision of the problem of numer of coils, i have made the schematic with 2 diodes and a zener, the tach is working fine. Finding a possible solution for this problem i have tried this:

1-Update firmware to the last V3.2.1 and i have fixed the rpm spikes. But no solution to my problem.
2-I have tried the 2 diodes without the zener, the engine start but rapidly dies. The tach is apparently ok.
3-Tried to use the MJLJ tach signal, the engine start but rapidly dies. Basically the same of using the circuit without the zener.

My opinion will be:

1-I need to use a zener with a different value. I will try a 12v and a 15v zener in substitution of the 18v zener i had used.
2-My EDIS connector dont have the TACH output, but the EDIS module have the terminal. I'm thinking if i can take the signal out of the EDIS module and test it.

I have readed some posts of guys using the BOSCH old ecus of this kind in the BMW 320-318 ena a Peugeot 205 1600. Can anyone help me??

Suggestions were wellcome!!!

Best regards!!
Antonio
