rover v8 crank sensor

Post by repton »

Is there anyone out there who has mounted the wheel and sensor onto the bottom pulley of a Rover V8? If so, any chance of some photos of your installation? I'm about to do mine and before I dive in it would be nice to see how others have done it.

I've not done mine yet, if I had I would already have put pictures online. I have a friend who is about at the stage of having it working though, so I'll try and get some from him.

Rover V8 Transplant

Post by cbaxter »

I am putting a Rover 4.0 2001 Discovery II motor into my Range Rover Classic 1992.
This motor uses a Bosch DIS system with crank sensor stock.
Since I don't have all the harnesses for the fuel injection, FI is going to have to go. But the ignition system if it will work converted with megajolt might be a good idea. Does anyone know if it is compatible with the fitted crank sensor etc on the Rover 4.0 2001 Discovery II motor.
Thanks
