Coils

I have a 4 cyl engine that has two over the sparkplug coils(each coil handles two spark plugs). Will the EDIS control those coils too or will I have to use fords coil pack. They seem to be wired the same as the Ford coilpack. One ground two trigger. Would that work? I'm not sure if I made my question clear. The reason for using the OEM is for the cleaner install, plus it maybe hard to find plug wires to fit in the center of the valve cover and have the ford plug ends for the coilpack. Let me know?
