EDIS fault?

hello again, i've had my engine running and am having good luck so far now i'm using a proper serial lead.

Every now and again i will lose my spark, it was really getting to me thinking i had a loose connection or wire fautl somewhere. I trace dthe fault to the EDIS module - if i disconnect and reconnect it it starts and runs fine but every now and again needs a reset.

Does anyone know if my EDIS is faulty as this is the only conclusion i have come up with?

What do you mean by "disconnect"?

Physically removing the EDIS connector or disconnecting the power (which should happen every time you turn off the ignition)?

Sorry, i actually pull the plug off the unit with the ignition on - it doesn't seem to reset unless i do this
