Question RE EDIS Pinout

I recently bought two EDIS modules. One EDIS4 and one EDIS8, the plug on the EDIS8 is the wrong way round when compared to the EDIS4 unit and according to the Autosport diagrams. Do I just ignore this and wire it up as if the plug was the same way around?

i would say pin1 stays the same so wire it as shown in the diagram
the difference will be there just to make it very difficult to plug in the wrong module
