Some good news!

Post by Jonno »

Hi,

Just thought I'd let you know that my MJLJ mini special went on the rollers last week with a tuner who hadn't used the MJLJ system before.

We spent about 4 hours tweeking minor things in the engine bay, and tuning the fuelling and the ignition.

I've never been to a rolling road before, and it was fascinating, if a little scary at first!

The tuner was very impressed with the system, and the configurator software.

He said that because it was simple and clear it made his job much easier, and said he preferred it to other (much more expensive) systems, which overload the tuner with options.

He was able to raise power and torque, smooth out some flat spots and get the idle really stable. I had loaded Brent's safe map, which was his starting point.

I left with a super smooth powerful engine (for a mini!), now it's those last few things to do for it's MOT next week.

It's been 7 years in the making (moved house twice, got married, etc, etc) so it was great to have a quick blast afterwards down the trading estate service road!

So, thanks Brent and everybody else who has helped along the way - superb system.

P.S. Will post map when I get chance - probably after the MOT!

Great to hear things are working well for you, and thanks for the feedback. Watch for an updated version of the software which will have some incremental improvements in usability.

Also, we'd love to see a picture and a small writeup under the 'Powered by MJLJ' Gallery!

Take care,
