However, in it's first race all is fine until I hit 5800rpm and then I have a misfire, just like a rev limiter. Any ideas what may be the problem?
Set-up: I have the TPS version, but similar to the Westfield chap who wrote recently, I'm only allowed a 2D map by the regulations. I've shorted out the TPS pin to earth to stop it drifting. I actually chose the wrong pin and have a 100% TPS all the time. I don't think this should be the problem because I set all throttle configuration advances to the same value so it shouldn't matter what the throttle value is. I've programed up to 7000rpm then put 10deg at 7500rpm as a sort of rev limiter, but I get nowhere near that.
The VR sensor is in a ridid block of aluminium with gap to toothed wheel of 0.85mm. The wheel is about 120mm dia and 8mm thick
Pin 4 of the EDIS connector had an earth wire from it which I left in place but I note that this is missing from the Megajolt diagram, could this be the problem?
Any ideas on what could be the problem? Or any recommendations on how to test for a problem....use of the time trace facility (and how to work it) or pin measurements with an meter.
Hopefully,
Dave
PS I got pole position for the first time inspite of the misfire!!!
