Hello,

Did you figure out the connections yet?

If you know the firing order of your engine you should be able to figure it out. A quick google search yielded a firing order of 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 for the ford 302.

You will want to connect each coil pack "half" to cylinders which fire 360 degrees apart. For example, with the firing order above:

coil 1: 1 and 6
coil 2: 5 and 3
coil 3: 4 and 7
coil 4: 2 and 8

I'm not a Ford V8 expert, so make sure you have the correct firing order in hand.

Even if you have a 351W or 302HO cam in there it's still good.
The 351W & 302HO order is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 but the coilpack connections are really the same

coil 1: 1 and 6
coil 2: 3 and 5
coil 3: 7 and 4
coil 4: 2 and 8

and swapping ends on coils 2 & 3 has no effect.

That's also correct for 302C, 351C, 400C and 400M together with just about every Ford V8 made.

On a wasted spark coilpack Ford V8, one configuration does it all. Wonderful, hey!
