Just a thought that occurred to me today...
I'm soon going to be fitting an electric fuel pump to replace the mechanical one that's there at the moment. Many modern cars have an inertia switch that will stop the pump in an emergency, but they are hard to set up in a ultra-light sports car.
How about using one of the option outputs to operate a relay that controls the pump? In other words, if the engine was running but then stops without the ignition being turned off, the MJ reads 0 rpm and cuts the fuel pump supply.
The change that would be required is that the engine is at 0 rpm before it's started, so there would have to be some form of start-up override to ensure that the pump will run before the engine is cranked.
What do you think?

Yes- that would be a useful feature.
In order to do it reliably, a firmware change would be needed to activate an output after a certain amount of time has elapsed, which would be longer than the lowest normally measurable RPM- so the fuel pump wouldn't be disabled during cranking.
