coil pack location
Should coil packs be mounted to engine or can you put on firewall. The factory locations seem to always mount to engine
I put mine on the chassis rails.
I would rather the sparkplug leads flexed, than the power, earth and signal ones.
They seem to be more flexable wires.

FWIW on the Rover 200/400 series, the OEM coil was originally mounted on the passenger side front wing, behind the headlamp, with a long HT lead. On later models, they changed the design of the coil (to a more "coil pack" style although still with just a single HT lead) and put it on the back of the engine.
I guess on the back of the engine would be slightly better protection from damp/puddles, etc.
