Vauxhall XE Trigger Wheel fitment questions

Post by retrocarclub »

I'm currently attempting to fit MJ Lite to my c20xe engine but i'm having trouble working out how to mount my 36-1 trigger wheel to my front pulley. I've read the guides on this site, but they don't really help because I cant weld it or bolt it on! Somebody please help.

Cheers

Christian

Knowing a c20xe bottom pully, it looks easy to bolt it on in my opinion.
Just use the small 6 bolts that hold the pully to the main crank pully/sprocket.

Ok, thanks I didn't really consider using the smaller bolts for some reason. Would you shim them out to the level of the trigger wheel?

Thanks Martin, that's a lovely setup. Did you machine down the pulley and bolt the trigger wheel on or did you weld it? Also what size trigger wheel did you use? I'm looking at a 6.5" trigger-wheel.com one.
