Fuel and megajolt

Post by supercharger_1500 »

Hmm did I cock up big time here? I think MegaJolt can control the fuel injectors.

Now I'm thinking I got it all wrong...!

You're not getting confused with Megasquirt are you?

That's a full ECU for ignition, fuel injectors, etc. More expensive, FAR more complicated!

Yes, Megajolt can feed a tach signal to the Megasquirt. This is how we're running our turbocharged MR2.

Megasquirt can also handle ignition via firmware and hardware modifications- However, I don't have experience with that.

The clue is in the names...
Jolt = spark = ouch!
Squirt = fuel = burn!

I'd completely agree with Brent about the MS firmware and hardware mods to make it do sparks - they are significantly complex...

Thank you guys, I'm still some off getting the engine to run. I'll need to look into this and come back. Running carbs at the moment.

cheers
