Edis 6 question

Post by DannyP »

I am aquiring another project, an early Porsche 911

Since I had so much success with my VW 4 banger, I would like to again use Megajolt.

The car is a flat 6 but it has twin-plug heads.

So the question is, which option is best:

1. One Megajolt, one EDIS, two coilpacks in parallel

2. One megajolt, two EDIS off one VR sensor, two coilpacks

3. double everything? The vr would have to be in the same spot though.

4. option 1 with a special switching circuit that would be able to sink enough current to drive two coilpacks without overheating the EDIS module

I am not clueless when it comes to electronics, but am no engineer. I can build and wire up stuff without having it break and/or smoke  , but that's about it.

I would think option #2 is your best bet. The signal from one VR sensor should be strong enough to drive two EDIS modules. The MJLJ would receive the SAW signal from one of the EDIS modules, with the PIP signal going to both.
