Suppression of electrical noise

Post by Ken555 »

Does anyone know what value of Cap was used on the original Ford unit to suppress any electrical noise ?

Noticed last night that my shift light, running off the Megajolt, was faintly flickering all the time. If I disconnect my (electric) fuel pump it cures it, until the car stalls with no fuel.

Strangely its only the final shift light, not those running off the user outputs.
Guess is that the others are 12V LEDs, where the Final one is a 3V LED with a dropper resistor.

Was planning to stick a cap onto the pump supply as close to it as I can.
